In Asia, when we are young, we fold paper into stars. Not because we need to, but because we hope.
Each tiny crease holds a secret wish. Each point is a whispered dream. We fold them in silence, in the back of classrooms, in the quiet of our bedrooms, on rainy afternoons when the world feels heavy. We give them to friends who are moving away, to siblings before exams, to ourselves when we need a little luck.
This box contains five handmade origami stars. They were folded by Abril, a doctorate student in Phonetics in Barcelona, Spain. She folds them the same way we all did as children – with patience, with intention, with a quiet belief that somewhere in the universe, a wish can land softly and take root.
You can make a wish upon opening the box. Or you can give it to someone who needs a reminder that magic still exists in small things. Each star is unique. No two are exactly the same – just like dreams.
The box measures 25 × 16.5 × 7.5 cm. It fits perfectly in a drawer, on a desk, or in the palm of your hand.
